Multiple Dental Implants City of London

Replace More Than One Lost Tooth

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that securely anchor life-like prosthetic teeth in place, just like real teeth. Dental implants are the only available dental restoration that can offer superior durability, no movement, and natural-looking finishes without causing any damage to other teeth or bone.

Using dental implants to replace multiple missing teeth, whether in a row or throughout the mouth can look and feel so natural that you might forget down the line that they’re not really your teeth.

Multiple Dental Implants to Restore Several Missing Teeth

Dental implants can look and feel so natural you might forget that they are not your own! And that’s precisely why hundreds of our previous patients in London have restored their smiles with this realistic, long-lasting method. Prices for this procedure will be based on your individual needs, and we will provide you with a quote after an initial implant consultation.

Are you suitable for dental implants?

Knowing if you are a suitable candidate for implants can determine your recommended treatment.

For example, it is common for patients who have had missing teeth for some time to experience bone loss in their jawbone.

Dental implants require an adequate amount of bone and healthy gums (so gum disease can also be a problem here).

Patients not wanting to undergo bone grafts and potential sinus lifts can turn to procedures like ‘Teeth in a Day’ to bypass this.

But what is best for your oral state will be recommended by our implant dentist, Dr James Kleiber, who will examine your condition and oral health with a dental implant consultation to assess your viability for implant treatment.

Multiple options to choose from

The world of dental implants can be confusing – especially as there are several ways to replace multiple missing teeth using them, which depends entirely on your situation and budget.

Here’s an overview of your options, but please note, if you’re not sure which type is the best, then don’t worry; during your consultation, we will go over each available option with you and recommend the right solution for your smile, situation, and budget.

  1. Multiple implant placement – for sporadic tooth loss, where teeth are not missing in a row.
  2. Implant-supported bridges – we can replace up to five teeth using just 2-3 implants for adjacent tooth loss.
  3. Implant-retained dentures – to replace an entire row of missing teeth using 3-4 implants.
  4. All on 4 or All on 6 – to replace a full jaw of missing teeth (or upper and lower) with the least degree of movement with 4-12 implants.

Multiple implants in a nutshell

  • Straightforward process completed under anaesthetic.
  • Sedation options available or gas and air for anxious patients.
  • Eating is easier, and speech is improved with dental implants.
  • Mostly use dental crowns as a final restoration which look like real teeth.
  • Require no unique cleaning routines or special maintenance.
  • Helps to preserve the quality of bone in the jaw and prevent future tooth loss or facial sagging.

The implant process

With any type of dental implant treatment, patients must undergo a three-month healing period referred to as osteointegration before they can be fitted with their final restoration. Temporaries are available during this time.

  • Stage 1: Planning
  • Stage 2: Preparing implant site
  • Stage 3: Implant placement

Each multiple implant replacement process will see an oral surgeon position titanium screws into your jawbone, just like the root of a natural tooth. Three months or so later, once a period of healing has come to an end, and the implant has had enough time to fuse, we will finish the restoration with a crown, bridge or denture.

Help with total tooth loss, or if you're losing all of your teeth

Depending on your case and where the tooth loss occurs, you might not necessarily need individual implants to replace each gap.

A more cost-effective approach is often integrating traditional replacement methods with implants, for example, using dental bridges supported by implants or anchoring dentures with implants to prevent them from slipping or causing sores.

  • Other options using a minimum number of implants include implant-retained dentures.

This means that patients do not have to pay for individual implants to replace each gap but rather can rely on 3-6 implants to replace a row of missing teeth with hybrid dentures or bridge options. Read the consequences of tooth loss.

Your bespoke treatment plan will depend on how many teeth are missing, whether any teeth are failing, the location of these teeth, and where they are about each other, not to mention jawbone volume.

*Additional costs you might expect are tooth extraction or pre-implant procedures to rebuild bone in the jaw, like bone grafts and sinus lifts.

I've been seeing George for over 15 years. One of my best decisions. Teeth needed serious attention and were immediately "rescued". They have been maintained to an excellent level ever since. Fantastic treatment and continuing results.

American 🇺🇸 Pilot with a very busy schedule. Was in London of one of my many layovers summer 2023. Had not been to a dentist in sometime. Was in need of a deep scaling for oral hygiene and start pains of a Carrie. I’m one of those and for all work completed under N20 (Nitrous Oxide Gas) for seems to be only way. He was able to see me and complete this matter swiftly and professionally. Didn’t scare me out of the chair. Recommend this practice and would return on a layover.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting CapCityDental for a dental cleaning, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As someone who prioritizes oral health, I've had my fair share of dental appointments, but this one truly stood out. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease, setting the tone for a fantastic dental cleaning session. The moment I stepped into the clinic, the friendly receptionist - Michael, greeted me with a warm smile and efficiently took care of the check-in process. The waiting area was clean, comfortable, and featured modern decor that helped create a relaxing atmosphere. It was clear that the staff at at CapCityDental value professionalism and patient comfort. Dr. George, the senior dental hygienist was a true expert in his field. He took the time to explain the entire cleaning process, making sure I was comfortable and informed every step of the way. Indeed, it did feel like a warm hug. Furthermore, his dental nurse Marilou was just a gem. Her gentle yet thorough approach put me at ease, and I could sense her commitment to delivering top-notch oral care. It's evident that CapCityDental has a team that's passionate about what they do. What truly sets CapCityDental apart was their dedication to personalized care and patient education. The hygienist nurse took the time to discuss my oral health habits and offered valuable insights on how to improve my routine. She answered all my questions patiently, showing a genuine interest in my oral health journey. This level of individualized attention left a lasting impression on me. In conclusion, my dental cleaning experience at CapCityDental was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I felt valued as a patient and confident in the care I received. The professionalism, expertise, and genuine concern for patient well-being were evident throughout. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking exceptional dental care in a welcoming and modern environment. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I had emergency root canal with George and team, and subsequent fillings and hygiene. The service and quality of finish was impeccable. Excellent communication and a focus on patient experience puts you at ease from the start. The after care is also excellent. Couldn’t recommend enough.

George and his team have been looking after me for almost 10 years now. When George took me on, my teeth were in a very sorry state. Since then George has worked very hard to improve the function, health and look of my teeth. Thanks to George I only require routine checkups and the odd piece of work now. Seeing George has made going to the dentist a breeze and a very happy social occasion! I can’t recommend George highly enough. The best dentist I’ve ever had. Very attentive and caring…with exquisite attention to detail; second to none. I should also mention that the new location in Austin Friars is a lovely calm oasis in the heart of the City. Modern health setting in a historic built environment. Thanks George.

I had a tooth that was causing me severe pain. I was feeling highly anxious because my previous dentist treated the wrong tooth. My childhood orthodontist left me with an occlusion and had taken out too many teeth. I was having trouble finding a dentist who would not only treat my gaps and cavities, but would also provide an unbiased opinion of my previous treatments. After appointments with other clinics, I found Cap City Dental. Dr Druttman, Marilou, Reni and Michael were welcoming. They helped me correct years of problems in just three visits over as many weeks. The team genuinely try to understand what you are trying to achieve. They don’t push you to have work done. I particularly appreciated Dr Druttman’s comprehensive reports in which he provided his professional opinion on what happened and what should happen moving forward. I highly recommend them not only because they make sure you feel comfortable, but provide you with enough information to ensure you can make an informed decision.
