Dental treatments at our City of London dentist

Your Dental Appointment

Particularly at the ‘first’ dental appointment, it’s important to evaluate the right amount of time for your immediate needs.

dental appointment in the city of london

Your appointment is valuable time set aside exclusively for you. For your convenience we will contact you a day or two before hand with a courtesy reminder. Please respect and value the appointment and don’t cancel on us without good reason or due notice. We really don’t wish to have to charge for last minute cancellations or ‘no shows’.

Our dentists in the City of London EC4 offer you four different kinds of ‘initial’ dental appointment:

Dental Medical examination (1 hour)

Routine Dental examination (½ hour)

Smile Analysis consultation (½ hour)

Specific Problem appointment (½-1 hour)

If your appointment is scheduled a month or more in advance, we’ll contact you close to the time to confirm that the timing still suits you.

There are occasions when we’re running late, perhaps because a procedure or a consultation has taken longer than expected. It may also be because the previous patient turned up late. So we ask you to ‘factor in’ a little extra time for your dental visit.

Dental medical examination appointmentIf you’ve not seen a dentist for a while and/or you’ve had significant dental work carried out in the past, this is the one that will be most appropriate and beneficial for you.

We’ll make a full health, function and aesthetic examination of your mouth and review your dental history. This will include any necessary x-rays and clinical photographs to help us come up with a clear, accurate and ‘evidence-based’ picture for you. Of course we will also focus on your dental hygiene level.

Approximate fee range is £115-200 (depending on number of X-rays and any additional diagnostic options).

Routine dental appointmentThis is indicated whenever you have received regular dental care and/or had minimal previous dentistry.

This routine evaluation inspects your teeth, gums and mouth. Up to four x-rays may be taken to double-check for ‘hidden problems’. We recommend having these examinations every six months, with check x-rays during every fourth check-up (i.e every one and a half years).

Our Fee is £115 plus £18 per x-ray

Dental appointment for smile analysis consultationIf you’re not happy with the appearance of your smile, we can advise you what aesthetic improvements can be done. You may be having your ‘routine dental care ‘ elsewhere, so this will tend to focus primarily on aesthetic correction and improvement.

This consultation with the dentists in our City of London practice can relate to how the appearance of your teeth (shape, position, colour) affects your facial expression (your smile). In many cases, we can help you visualize how you’ll look ‘after’ treatment.

Our Fee is £115 (excluding X-Ray cost)

Dental appointment for specific problemsIf you have pain, a broken tooth or any other kind of dental emergency, we’ll do our utmost to see you on the same day under our ‘Crisis Management’ policy. We try to be as flexible as possible with appointment times. It’s best to call us as close to 9am as possible. A time slot is usually up to an hour.

Emergency Consultation Fee range is £115 plus treatment fee depending on the treatment required. All costs are discussed with patients prior to starting treatment.

If you’re not sure of the best first dental appointment at our City of London Cannon Street EC4 dental practice, please discuss this with one of our staff on the telephone 0207 621 0600.
